---|---|---|---|
Next, the book was used as a module for a workshop for the Los Angeles Roots and Shoots program of the Jane Goodall Institute. Forty-five teachers from the Los Angeles area attended, and brought the book and a lesson plan back to their classes. They returned with stories from the children. One of the teachers, Kay Dicks, from San Fernando Elementary School, also compiled her students' stories into a book, and included a charming one of her own. Click on the book cover to read some of the students' stories. Use the Fin Prints button below to read Kay Dicks' and other grownups' stories. |
